Yes, Rain-X® can be applied to a new windscreen. Just ensure that the windscreen is thoroughly cleaned before application to achieve the best results.

Yes, Rain-X®’s water-repellent properties are often more noticeable at higher speeds where the wind force helps disperse water droplets from the windscreen.

Rain-X® Ceramic Technology offers several benefits, including enhanced water beading, increased hydrophobicity, UV protection, and improved resistance to contaminants, all of which contribute to a cleaner and more protected surface.

Rain-X® Ceramic Technology creates a thin and durable ceramic layer on the surface to which it’s applied. This layer provides a protective barrier against water, UV rays, dirt, and other contaminants, helping to maintain a cleaner and more attractive appearance.

While it’s generally best to apply Rain-X® Ceramic Technology products to cool surfaces in the shade, the specific application instructions can vary based on the product. Refer to the packaging for guidance.

Yes, Rain-X® can be used on glass shower doors without any etching to achieve the benefits of Rain-X® water beading in the shower.  Rain-X® should not be used on plastic shower doors.

Our Rain-X Original Treatment indeed can impart a hydrophobic effect on plastic surfaces, but given its composition containing solvents, it could result in environmental stress crack for long term use, especially under heat and weather conditions. If you wish to use it on surfaces like plastics we recommend to use the Rain-X® Plastic Water Repellent obtaining the same hydrophobic effect, safely in any situation.

The product does not leave marks by nature, if so it might be related to a defective pre-cleaning of the windscreen. Anyway, the most effective way is to remove it and start all over again with our Extreme Cleaner.

Not at all, they are not aggressive products.

In principle, our products impart some lubrication effect, so this effect is not expected. If you experience this, we advise you to thoroughly clean your windshield with our Extreme Cleaner and apply the treatment again.

If this refers to car cameras, it should be ok, as they are prepared to withstand any environmental condition. The resulting film is 100% transparent, it would not affect its functionality. In the case of photographic cameras, it is recommended to test it out in a small area as camera lenses might have some special coating.

If the window comes tinted, it should not be a problem. If the tinted effect was added afterward, it would be very difficult to know as the method used to tint the window might be incompatible with the product. In that cas, we recommand testing it out in a small corner.

Screen Wash

Rain-X® Screen Wash is a specific product offered by the Rain-X brand, designed to be used as a windscreen washer fluid. It’s known for its unique water-repellent properties, which are intended to help improve visibility during wet weather conditions. When Rain-X Screen Wash is applied to the windscreen, it creates a hydrophobic barrier that causes rainwater to bead up and roll off the glass more effectively, which can enhance visibility and reduce the need for windscreen wipers.

Yes, Rain-X® Screen Wash Fluid is designed to be effective in various weather conditions, including rain, snow, and sleet.

It’s generally not recommended to mix different washer fluids, as it can affect their performance. To maintain the desired effects of Rain-X® Screen Wash Fluid, it’s best to use it as intended.

You can use Rain-X® Screen Wash Fluid whenever you refill your windscreen washer reservoir. Its water-repellent properties can last for several weeks, but re-application may be necessary for optimal performance.

De Icer

Windscreen Repair Kit

The kit includes materials to create a vacuum seal over the damaged area, followed by an injection of a specially formulated resin. This resin is designed to bond with the glass and reduce the visibility of the damage.

While the kit aims to improve the appearance of the damaged area, it might not completely eliminate the visibility of the damage. Results can vary depending on the type and severity of the damage.

The kit is generally designed for a single repair. If you have multiple areas of damage, you might need additional kits.

It’s recommended to use the kit in moderate temperatures and avoid extreme heat or cold. Temperature variations can affect the curing process of the resin.

The kit is specifically formulated for vehicle windscreens and might not yield the same results on other types of glass or surfaces.

Insect remover & protectant

The product is alkaline to remove insects properly. Bonded insects are one of the most difficult stains to remove and require powerful action. The product is safe for bodywork surfaces. However, if you have already applied an additional coat, and this coating could be affected, it is preferable not to use it for such an application.

Plastic rain repellent

It’s best to use each product on the specific surface for which it was designed. Not because you might have problems, but because the effectiveness and application will not be optimal. For an application on glass, the original treatment is more effective and durable .

Exterior detailer – Ceramix

Matt paints are very delicate because they are designed to achieve a total lack of shine by spreading light over the entire surface instead of reflecting it. Bodywork with this type of paint has a rough, irregular surface, a differentiating factor that must be preserved at all costs. Although Ceramic Exterior Detailer is not a polish, it leaves an invisible protective film with good gloss properties. It may therefore affect the matt effect of the paint to some extent. We advise you to test the product on a small area before treating the whole vehicle.
