About the Rain repellent products

1)Can Rain-X Rain Repellent be used on domestic glass windows?  

Yes, Rain-X Anti-Rain treatment can be used on domestic glass windows; however, contact with vinyl and aluminium surfaces near the window should be avoided.  

2) When Rain-X Anti-Pluie is removed from the windscreen, why does the product still appear to be present?  

The Rain-X Anti-Rain window treatment may not have been completely removed from the glass. Use Rain-X X-treme Clean for best results in removing the glass treatment.  

3) How long does Rain-X Anti-Rain last?  

This product generally lasts about 3 months, depending on weather  and environmental conditions.  

 4) If you apply Rain-X Anti-Rain window treatment to your bodywork, will the paintwork be damaged?  

No, but you should rinse the product off with soap and water.  

5) Is Rain-X Anti-Rain safe for use on solar panels?  

No, Rain-X Anti-Rain treatment is not recommended for solar panels.  

 6)Which product can be used to remove Rain-X Anti-Rain treatment from glass?  

Rain-X Extreme Clean is the best product to use to remove Rain-X from a glass surface.   

7)Can I use Rain-X Anti-Rain on my shower door?  

Yes, Rain-X can be used on glass shower doors without stripping to obtain the benefits of Rain-X in the shower. Rain-X should not be used on plastic shower doors.  

8) Is Rain-X Rain Repellent safe to use on plastics, Plexiglas, motorbike windscreens and ATVs?  

No. This product is intended for use on automotive glass. If you wish to use it on surfaces such as plastics, we recommend that you use the Rain-X range of Plastic Removers.  

9) What should I do if the anti-rain treatment leaves white marks on my windscreen?  

The product does not by nature leave streaks, so this could be due to faulty pre-cleaning of the windscreen. In any case, the most effective way of eliminating these marks is to start from scratch and use our X-treme Clean Cleaner.  

10)Will the Anti-Rain product affect my windscreen wipers?  

Not at all, these are not aggressive products. 

11) What should I do if my windscreen wipers jerk on the windscreen after applying a Rain Repellent product? Why does this happen?  

In principle, our products have a lubricating effect, so this shouldn’t happen. If you do notice it, we recommend that you thoroughly clean your windscreen with our X-treme Clean and reapply the treatment.  

12) Is it possible to use the Anti-Rain product on camera lenses?  

In the case of car cameras, this shouldn’t be a problem, as they are prepared to withstand all environmental conditions. The film obtained is 100% transparent, which will not affect its operation in any way. In the case of cameras, it is advisable to test it on a small area, as the lenses may have a special coating that is incompatible with the Rain Repellent.  

13) Can Rain Repellent be used on tinted windows?  

If the window is originally tinted, this should not pose a problem. If the tinted effect has been added afterwards, we recommend testing the product on a small area to be sure of its compatibility with the tinting method used. 

About the Anti-Fog

1) Can Rain-X Anti-Fog treatment be used on acrylic?  

No. This product must not be used on acrylic, plastic, motorbike helmets or motorbike windscreens.  

2) Can Rain-X Anti-Sweat be applied to tinted windows?  

No. This product must be used on clear glass without anything else, such as tints.  

3) Can Rain-X Anti-Fog be used on bathroom mirrors/glass doors?  

Yes, the Rain-X Anti-Fog treatment is very effective in the bathroom to prevent fogging.  

4) How long does Rain-X Anti-Fog last?  

The longevity of the effect of Rain-X Anti-Fog varies according to factors such as humidity and use. It is generally advisable to reapply the product every few weeks or as required for optimum results.  

5) Is Anti-Fog a permanent solution?  

Rain-X Anti-Fog offers temporary protection against fogging. Re-application is necessary after a certain period or when you notice that the effects are fading.
